Middle School Open House

Our MS Open House events are for parents only and will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 2 (6th grade) and Thursday, Sept. 3 (7th and 8th grade). Only parents are invited to these events due to space limitations within classrooms. Please do not bring students to these events.

Elementary School Meet & Greet

We will host a "meet and greet" event for elementary students on Thursday, Sept. 3. Doors open promptly at 10:15 a.m. for second- and third-grade classroom visits, followed by an ice cream social in the cafeteria/courtyard area. Fourth- and fifth-grade students are invited to an ice cream social at 12:15 p.m. in the same area, followed by a 1 p.m. Open House and afternoon classroom visits from 2-3 p.m. Open House for second- and third-grade students will be held Tuesday, Sept. 15, from 6-7 p.m.

Gifted Advisory Committee

The Community Advisory Committee for Gifted Education (CAC) is seeking interested applicants for the 2015-2016 school year. The purpose of the gifted education CAC is to advise the School Board of the educational needs of all gifted students in the school division. We anticipate openings in the following high school districts: Tallwood, First Colonial, Princess Anne and Ocean Lakes. These districts are where you currently reside rather than where your child may attend. Please complete the nomination form below and return to Emily Assmus of the Office of Differentiated Programs and Professional Learning.

The information in these guides is designed to assist students in grades 6 through 12 and their parents with the selection of courses in the middle and high school levels. Students and parents are encouraged to study these publications and talk with guidance counselors and teachers as part of the course selection process.
